Working with the team at Definition, I was brought on board to help shape the style of the 3D animation.
Working from an initial script, I developed a new visual style to help modernise Teledyne’s brand and make complex, highly technical concepts more accessible. I led the art direction and storyboarded the entire film, working closely with the production team at Definition to define the visual language, pacing and narrative structure from the outset.
Once the art direction and storyboards were signed off, I created a full animatic to establish timing, transitions and overall flow. To give the client confidence in the new direction early on, I also produced a 20-second preview that demonstrated the final look and feel before moving into full production.
The finished piece is a 2D/3D motion graphics product explainer focused on Teledyne’s advanced memory modules, designed for use across LEO, MEO and GEO satellite systems. I created the animation in After Effects and Cinema 4D, rendering the 3D elements in Redshift to achieve a clean, precise, high-tech aesthetic. The final edit and sound design were completed in Premiere Pro, bringing the visuals together into a clear, engaging and technically accurate explainer.
