Mr Porter animated explainer video

Famous for their expertise in high-end men’s fashion, Mr Porter sells menswear all over the globe. As well as stocking some of the most desirable and exclusive clothing ranges, they are also known as the go-to site for all the latest trends and style tips.

They contacted me to help storyboard and animate the project. The illustrations were created by the uber talented illustrator Tommy Parker. Once the location and characters were signed off, it was my job to produce the entire animation including honing the style of the video.

Without a doubt, this was one of the most enjoyable projects I have ever worked on. Not only was I completely enamoured with Tommy Parker’s illustration style but it was such an original project to work on. I highly doubt I’ll ever be in a position again where I get to animate my heroes like Kurt Cobain or James Dean. In fact, being able to say I animated Kurt in a dress will go down as a career high.
