Formula 1 required motion graphics for a video detailing the huge logistics involved with the world of F1.
Building the greatest racing spectacle on the planet is no small feat and Formula 1 partnered with DHL to explore and explain the operation that leads up to each Grand Prix, highlighting the reliability, precision and teamwork required to put on each race, 21 times a year.
Having worked previously with Formula 1 on the F1 First animations, they asked me to work on the art direction/pre-production phase right up to the final delivery. Originally, the idea was to use 2D motion graphics but this felt too corporate and wasn’t engaging enough. We then opted to use stylised 3D animation, which would compliment the incredible live action footage by F1 and keep the viewers engaged. The video went on to have over 1.5 million views.
